Before we get started let’s find out what cellulite is and how to prevent it from recurring.
Cellulite is fatty deposits that form pockets below the skin’s surface. It’s found around the stomach, hips, arms, thighs and buttocks. The dimpled appearance is caused because these fat deposits are very close to the skin’s surface.
There are many different factors that can cause cellulite; genetics, gender, race, metabolism and the distribution of fat under the skin, and your circulation plays a very important role.
Hormones such as estrogen, insulin, noradrenaline, thyroid hormones and prolactin are also contributors. A diet that consists of too many unhealthy carbohydrates, salt and very little fibre. Smoking and lack of exercise or sitting and standing for long periods.Tight clothing stops circulation and causes fatty deposits.
Cellulite causes a decrease in the skin’s elasticity and causes the skin to have an orange peel effect.
There are many things that you can do to combat cellulite.

Exercise also plays a very important role in reducing body fat, increasing circulation and getting rid of toxins!
Try to run, jog, cycle, swim, skip or dance for at least 4-5x week for 45minutes.
Circulation is extremely important to reduce the appearance of cellulite. I recommend brushing daily with a dry body brush in gentle upward strokes.
Caffeine found in most cellulite treatments is a powerful antioxidant and is very effective for short-term cellulite reduction. Caffeine is known to dilate blood vessels and increase body temperature. Through increased circulation, it reduces water retention and releases toxin build up, leaving your skin with a tighter more toned appearance.

- Add one cup of coffee grounds to one cup of olive oil, store in an airtight glass jar.
- Use in the shower gently massaging the scrub into your problem areas in a circular motion
- Rinse with warm water
